Competition

From novice to elite

Racing opportunities for our swimmers.

For all those who have been doing dragon racing we would like to let you know what the future opportunites in swimming are.

Dragon racing is our introductory racing program that allows swimmers to get involved in an informal racing environment. This is an exciting way to advance from swimming lessons and junior squads.

Once you have become accustomed to dragon racing and inter program racing the next step is joining the Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club – the club linked to our program that provides competitive swimming opportunities for our members

Mat, Nick or your coaches are there to advise you on what is appropriate for your child at their stage of development.

Below are the levels of competition that we offer as your kids go through the ranks.

Dragon Racing

  • Held every Saturday Morning all year round at Wesley
  • Informal
  • Introduction to racing (50m All strokes)
  • Appropriate for Junior, Intermediate and Competition Squad

Interclub Dragon Racing

If you are enjoying racing and would like to take it further, then you should now enrol with the Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club (SSPW). There is a membership fee  to join SSPW which is in addition to your coaching fee for Watkins. $120 of this goes to Swimming WA with the remainder to the club.
