The Open Squad is for those swimmers who are aspiring to compete at a high performance level for swimming in the pool. Swimmers within this squad have swimming as their main focus and are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment and application to achieve these performance goals. This squad refines and builds on all the skills and capacities from previous squads and aims to strive for excellence within the pool.

This squad offers 7 swim sessions (3 mornings and 4 afternoons). Athletes within this squad need to consult with the coach on individual basis in regards to their program and achieving their set goals. 

Swimmers must be a member of SSPW and compete at State and National Championships if they have achieved a qualifying time.

This squad will be running out of the Penrhos College Pool over the following dates and timetable.

Monday 12th October 2026 - Friday 18th December 2026 

We will then break for Xmas and New Year Period

Monday 4th January 2027 - Saturday 10th April 2027 

 

NB There will be no swimming due to closure of the College on the following dates:

Saturday 27th March 2027 (Easter Saturday)
