The open performance squad is for those swimmers who are aspiring to compete at a high performance level for swimming in the pool. Swimmers within this squad have swimming as their main focus and are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment and application to achieve these performance goals. This squad refines and builds on all the skills and capacities from previous squads and aims to strive for excellence within the pool.
This squad offers 8 swim sessions (4 mornings and 4 afternoons) with 2 gym sessions and 1 mat Pilates session available.
Athletes within this squad need to consult with the coach on individual basis in regards to their program and achieving their set goals.
Concessions are made for those athletes who are in year 12 at school or at university. They are required to make arrangements to balance their training and study with the coach.
The expectation within the squad is that all swimmers are Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club members and registered with SWA. Also if they have state or national qualifying times that they compete at those events and are available for relays, additionally all swimmers in this squad need to be available for club premierships.

Our winter season times run from the 20th of July 2020, through to the 10thof October 2020. All sessions through winter are held at the Wesley College Pool.

Summer
Our summer season times run from the 12th of October 2020, through to the 3rd of April 2021. All morning sessions over Summer are held at the Wesley College pool, with all afternoon sessions held at the Penrhos College Pool.
